Our office does not exclude, deny benefits to, or otherwise discriminate against any person based on race, color, national origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation, or age in admission to, or receipt of the services and benefits. On June 15, 2020, the Supreme Court handed a big win to the LGBT community ruling in a 6-3 decision that an employer who fires a worker for being gay or transgender violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. The Civil Rights Act already protected people from employer sex discrimination, as well as discrimination based on race, color, religion, or national origin.
