Acupuncture is a form of traditional Chinese medicine that is used to restore harmony to the body's energy, or Qi (pronounced "chi"). Qi flows through meridians and can be accessed through several acupuncture points. The technique involves the insertion of very thin needles into these specific points in order to achieve proper balance. The points are where nerves, muscles and tissue are stimulated to increase blood flow and trigger the body's natural painkillers. Many of our patients include acupuncture in their care plans in an effort to ease pain, manage stress and improve overall health and wellness.
Our Acupuncturist Laura Stice has her Masters in Oriental medicine and practices electro-stimulation and acupuncture treatment in her sessions.
